    In the past five years, significant progress has been made in the use of acupuncture and moxibustion for treating acne, a chronic inflammatory disease affecting hair follicles and sebaceous glands. This paper reviews recent clinical research on various acupuncture methods, including buried thread therapy, highlighting their effectiveness in treating different forms of acne, such as whiteheads, blackheads, papules, and pustules. The findings suggest that acupuncture and moxibustion can be effective treatments for acne, offering alternative therapeutic options for managing this condition.
