TLDR Hair-bearing punch grafting effectively repaired damage from artificial hair implants.
Several thousand individuals who had artificial fiber hair implants in their scalps 5 years prior experienced severe complications. These complications necessitated late repairs to remove retained fiber fragments from the skin. The study found that hair-bearing punch grafting was an effective method for repairing the damage in some patients.
