Recurrent Flank Alopecia in a Tibetan Terrier

Bassett Rj, Burton Gg, Robson Dc
TLDR A Tibetan Terrier had recurring seasonal hair loss for three years.
Recurrent flank alopecia was observed in a 2-year-old male neutered Tibetan Terrier, which also had atopic dermatitis. The condition was diagnosed after 3 consecutive years of localized, winter-onset hair loss, based on the dog's history, clinical signs, and supportive histopathology. The presence of pruritic dermatitis complicated the diagnosis. This was the first reported case of recurrent flank alopecia in this breed.
