TLDR The supplement improved hair density and was safe to use.
This study evaluated the effects of a gummy supplement containing B vitamins, zinc, and botanical ingredients on hair growth and quality in 65 women aged 18 to 60 with thinning hair. Over six months, participants taking the supplement showed a significant 10.1% increase in hair density compared to a 2% decrease in the placebo group. Hair strength improved by 10.2% in the supplement group, although this was not significantly different from the placebo group's 9.3% improvement. Participants also reported self-assessed improvements in hair shedding, strength, breakage, and brightness. No adverse events were reported, suggesting the supplement is safe for use. However, the study's reliance on self-assessment and its six-month duration are noted limitations.
