TLDR A bee sting caused total hair loss in a rare case.
This document reports a rare case of total alopecia occurring within ten days after a bee sting, without any hypersensitivity reactions. While bee stings have been associated with autoimmune-related conditions and localized alopecia, this case is unique as it suggests a potential immunomodulatory or exacerbating effect of the bee sting on the immune system, leading to total alopecia. This adds to the limited literature, which includes only one other case of total alopecia following bee sting-induced anaphylaxis.
