TLDR Baricitinib improves quality of life and reduces anxiety and depression in severe alopecia areata patients with hair regrowth.
The study examined the impact of baricitinib on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and symptoms of anxiety and depression in patients with severe alopecia areata (AA) over 104 weeks. Patients who achieved sustained scalp hair regrowth during the BRAVE-AA phase III trials reported significant improvements in HRQoL and reductions in anxiety and depression symptoms, highlighting the potential psychosocial benefits of effective AA treatment.
