TLDR Hair transplantation greatly improves mental health and self-esteem in people with hair loss.
The study focused on the psychological effects of hair transplantation in patients with androgenetic alopecia, a common cause of baldness. It found that androgenetic alopecia was a stressful condition for most patients, who were often unmarried and had a family history of the condition. After undergoing hair transplantation, patients experienced significant improvements in physical, mental, and social health, as well as self-esteem. Additionally, there was a notable decrease in anxiety and depression scores post-procedure.
