TLDR Most pregnancies with SLE resulted in intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).
The study at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang observed 26 pregnancies with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) from January 2018 to June 2020. Most patients were aged 26-30, had high school education, experienced 2-3 pregnancies, were primiparous, and had no history of miscarriage. Common clinical signs included malaise, malar rash, photosensitivity spots, alopecia, inflammatory arthritis, and abdominal pain. Diagnostic parameters often showed lymphopenia, stage 1 eGFR, proteinuria, positive ANA and anti-dsDNA tests. The most frequent pregnancy outcome was intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).
