TLDR The alexandrite laser effectively reduces unwanted hair by about 75%.
This study investigated the effectiveness of the 755 nm alexandrite laser in treating unwanted hair in the armpit or thigh area of 14 patients aged 27-37 with skin types I and III. Hair counts were conducted at 1 and 3 months post-treatment using a camera system. Results showed a decrease in the number of excess hairs, with Monte Carlo modeling estimating the remaining hair density and achieving a 75% accuracy rate compared to manual counting.
