PRAME Expression in Mammary and Extramammary Paget Disease

This study analyzed PRAME expression in 35 cases of mammary and extramammary Paget disease, finding it present in 93% of mammary and 90.5% of extramammary cases, with distinct expression patterns. The results suggest PRAME as a potential diagnostic marker for Paget disease, although its utility is limited by its presence in other tumors. The study emphasizes the need for dermatopathologists to consider PRAME's expression patterns and calls for further research on its role in distinguishing primary from secondary extramammary Paget disease and its prognostic value in mammary Paget disease.
