Studysummary In this study, researchers developed and tested a polyherbal hair serum containing several plant extracts, demonstrating its stability, safety, and effectiveness in promoting hair growth and improving hair quality, providing support for natural alternatives to synthetic hair care products. Our plain-language summary of this paper — not a Tressless recommendation.
The study aimed to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal hair serum to enhance hair growth, strength, and scalp health. The serum was made using herbal ingredients like Coriandrum sativum and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, among others. It was assessed for physicochemical parameters, stability, pH, viscosity, spreadability, and sensory attributes. Both in vitro and in vivo studies were conducted, showing significant improvement in hair density and shaft quality. The serum demonstrated good stability, suitable pH, optimal viscosity, and favorable sensory characteristics. The conclusion is that the serum is safe, effective, and cosmetically acceptable, offering a natural alternative to synthetic hair care products.
