TLDR PRP injections effectively improve hair growth in androgenic alopecia.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections in treating androgenic alopecia in 18 patients, with 3 injections administered at 21-day intervals. Results showed an average improvement of 42.85% for women and 25.55% for men, as reported by patients, with external observers noting improvements of 35.71% and 18.88%, respectively. Dermoscopy revealed hair thickening, improved circulation, and increased follicle numbers.
