The study explored the relationship between perfectionism, personal resiliency, and psychological outcomes, using a sample of 425 undergraduates. It found that perfectionistic strivings were generally linked to positive psychological outcomes, while perfectionistic concerns were linked to negative outcomes. Personal resiliency was identified as a mediating factor in these relationships, suggesting that differences in resiliency could explain the varying psychological impacts of the two dimensions of perfectionism. All hypotheses were supported, indicating that personal resiliency played a significant role in mediating the effects of perfectionism on psychological outcomes.
