TLDR Panfolliculoma is a rare, non-cancerous growth related to hair follicles.
Panfolliculoma was described as a rare benign follicular neoplasm with differentiation towards all components of the hair follicle. The report detailed two cases: one with a painful scalp nodule and another with an asymptomatic nodule on the eyebrow. Histopathologic examination showed lobular proliferation of solid-cystic follicular structures, with cystic structures containing laminated keratin and solid parts composed of various cell types indicating inner root sheath differentiation. Immunohistochemical stains were used to highlight the range of differentiations. Panfolliculoma was distinguished from trichofolliculoma and trichoblastoma.
