TLDR Ageratum Conyzoides, when taken orally, can effectively reduce hair loss and improve hair growth.
The study involved 84 males and females and examined the effects of a 12-week oral supplementation of Ageratum Conyzoides on hair growth and hair loss. The results showed a significant reduction in hairline recession and a trend towards increased hair density in the Ageratum Conyzoides group compared to the placebo group. The study also found that Ageratum Conyzoides extract reduced the expression of type 2 5α-reductase and total prostaglandins, which are associated with hair loss, in the active group. Therefore, the study concluded that Ageratum Conyzoides is effective in improving hair growth.
