TLDR New eyebrow transplant method from Taiwan gives good results without lasers or tattoos.
In 2020, the Gaudit Hair Transplant Clinic in Taiwan developed a novel methodology for correcting cosmetic problems via secondary eyebrow transplantation. The study involved several cases of eyebrow reconstruction using occipital donor hair, without the use of laser hair removal or tattoos. The technique required precision and aesthetic skill, focusing on factors such as hair follicle density, eyebrow shape, and whether the entire eyebrow or just a portion needed reconstruction. The study found that the quality and survival rate of the implanted follicles were crucial for the appearance of the eyebrow. The clinic used a high-resolution digital microscope and a Samsung LED monitor for follicle division. The study also highlighted the importance of post-operative care, instructing patients not to wash their face or apply makeup to the periorbital area until all crusts had fallen off, about ten days after the procedure. Hair regrowth began at 3-5 months, with increased density observed in the following 6-8 months. The study concluded that careful and conservative communication with patients was essential, and with the use of high-standard techniques and increasing experience, excellent and beautiful results could be achieved.
