TLDR A 14-year-old girl's black hair showed unique color changes, suggesting early greying.
A 14-year-old girl exhibited nonsynchronized segmented heterochromia in her black scalp hair over a 2-year period, without any associated iron deficiency anemia, vitiligo, or alopecia areata, and with normal serum iron, copper, zinc, and protein levels. This case was considered the first reported instance of this condition in black scalp hair, suggesting it as a presentation of premature greying.
