TLDR A rare skin condition in a baby showed unusual fat and hair follicle changes.
Nevus lipomatosus cutaneous superficialis (NLCS) is a rare skin lesion characterized by mature fat tissue in the upper dermis. Two types exist: multiple and solitary. A case of a 10-month-old girl with multiple type NLCS presented as nodules and papules on her right abdomen. Histological examination showed lobular fat tissue proliferation, immature hair follicle-like structures with perifollicular fibrosis, and alterations in dermal connective tissue, such as thickened collagen bundles and increased fibroblasts and blood vessels. This was the first reported case of NLCS with perifollicular fibrosis.

A user noticed non-itchy, non-bleeding spots on their scalp while experiencing hair loss. Replies suggest the spots are likely sunspots or liver spots and recommend seeing a dermatologist; hair loss is attributed to male pattern baldness.
