The study focuses on the chemical composition of Leersia hexandra, a plant abundant in Tam Nong, Dong Thap, used in traditional medicine for liver diseases. Despite its medicinal use, detailed chemical studies are limited. Researchers employed modern chromatography and spectroscopic techniques to isolate and identify natural compounds from the dried plant, excluding roots. They successfully isolated three significant compounds: syringaresinol, mayuenolid, and ciwujiaton.
