TLDR Thymoma may link myasthenia gravis, nail dystrophy, and alopecia areata.
This case report discusses a 37-year-old Filipino male with thymoma-associated myasthenia gravis who also developed twenty-nail dystrophy and alopecia areata. The patient experienced symptoms such as ptosis, diplopia, difficulty swallowing, and muscle weakness, which were confirmed as myasthenia gravis through nerve stimulation tests and thymoma histology. Additionally, he exhibited nail dystrophy and bald patches on the scalp, diagnosed by a dermatologist. The report suggests that thymoma may be a risk factor linking these three conditions.
