Clinical, Laboratory, and Psychological Aspects of Moderate COVID-19 in Cardiovascular Patients One Month After Discharge from the Hospital

    TLDR After moderate COVID-19, cardiovascular patients had fewer respiratory issues but faced new physical and psychological problems.
    The study examined 88 cardiovascular patients hospitalized for moderate COVID-19, with 72 continuing participation one month post-discharge. Results showed a decrease in respiratory symptoms, but persistent issues like reduced exercise tolerance (80.5%), generalized weakness, and increased sweating (69.5%). Notably, 38.9% reported new hair loss. Neurological symptoms such as memory decline (55.5%), anxiety (36%), and sleep disorders (63.9%) were prevalent. Blood pressure instability affected 36%, with 14% experiencing hypertensive crises. Depression rates increased, and there was a 15.5% rise in hypercholesterolemia. Overall, while respiratory symptoms decreased, new physical and psychological symptoms emerged.
