In this study, researchers found that homologous PRP (h-PRP) significantly increased hair density more than both nonactivated (n-PRP) and activated (a-PRP) autologous PRP in patients with androgenetic alopecia, suggesting h-PRP as a potentially more effective treatment option for hair loss.
