Studies on Microscopic Identification of Animal Drugs’ Remnant Hair: Identification of Several Species of Cauda Cervi

The study focused on the microscopic identification of remnant hair from four species of Cauda Cervi, traditionally used in Chinese medicine. By examining digital parameters such as hair shaft diameter, medulla index, and cuticle vein distance, the researchers found that these characteristics could effectively differentiate between the species. The method was deemed convenient and feasible for identifying the specific origins of Cauda Cervi.
