Sunil Kumar, G. Rajesh, K Srinivas
TLDR Microneedling with minoxidil is more effective for hair growth than with multivitamins.
The study compared the efficacy of microneedling (MN) with minoxidil solution versus MN with hair multivitamin solution in treating male androgenetic alopecia. Conducted with 50 participants, divided into two groups of 25, the study found that MN with minoxidil (Group I) showed a higher rate of excellent response (76%) compared to MN with multivitamin solution (Group II) which had a 40% excellent response rate. Side effects included pain (24%), bruising (16%), and folliculitis (8%). The study concluded that MN is a safe and cost-effective procedure that stimulates hair follicles and improves hair growth.

A user is trying to reverse male pattern baldness (MPB) naturally by taking high doses of Vitamin D, improving diet, exercising, reducing stress, and other lifestyle changes, but plans to use finasteride if no results are seen in 60 days. Other users are skeptical, advising medical treatments like finasteride and warning against potential vitamin D overdose and the ineffectiveness of natural remedies for genetic hair loss.
