TLDR Dermocosmetics significantly reduce itch and skin sensitivity in atopic dermatitis patients.
This meta-analysis evaluated the impact of dermocosmetics on itch reduction in atopic dermatitis (AD) patients with sensitive skin, using data from 6 clinical studies involving 267 participants. After 28 days of using dermocosmetic products, overall skin sensitivity decreased by 80.7%, and itch severity decreased by 83.3%, both statistically significant improvements (P<0.05). The findings suggest that tailored dermocosmetics effectively manage itch in AD patients with sensitive skin, though further research is recommended to explore personalized treatment approaches.
