TLDR Plant-derived extracellular vesicles show promise for treating diseases like cancer and inflammation.
This review highlights the growing interest in plant-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) for their potential therapeutic applications in treating diseases such as cancer, inflammation, and degenerative conditions. Despite the challenges posed by the complexity and side effects of herbal extracts, EVs from medicinal plants offer a promising new direction for clinical use. The review summarizes recent progress in this field and discusses future challenges and research directions to enhance the clinical translation of these plant-derived EVs, aiming to improve the application of herbal preparations in medicine.
