TLDR A young woman had surgery to remove a large hairball that blocked her intestines and then got psychiatric help.
A 24-year-old woman experienced a mechanical bowel obstruction due to a large trichobezoar, a mass of swallowed hair, which was identified through an abdominal CT scan. Initial attempts to remove the trichobezoar endoscopically were unsuccessful due to its size and density, leading to surgical removal. Post-surgery, the patient developed a subcutaneous seroma, a complication managed by puncturing. Following recovery, the patient received psychiatric treatment. This case is notable due to the patient's young age and the unusually large size of the trichobezoar.
