TLDR Male pattern baldness doesn't significantly affect mental health or sexual well-being.
This study, involving 1,027 men aged 33 to 35 from the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1986, examined the link between male androgenetic alopecia and psychosocial and sexual well-being. Participants were categorized by alopecia severity: no alopecia (45.6%), mild (42.4%), moderate (6.0%), and severe (6.0%). Contrary to previous reports, the study found no significant association between the presence or severity of androgenetic alopecia and depression, anxiety, or sexual symptoms.
