TLDR The patient showed signs of liver disease due to alcohol use but didn't need treatment for Dupuytren’s contracture.
A 50-year-old male with a history of chronic ethanol intake presented with stigmata of liver disease, including spider angiomas and axillary hair loss. He exhibited symptoms such as deep jaundice, bilateral pedal edema, palmar erythema, and Dupuytren’s contracture, a condition linked to alcohol use that causes thickening of the palmar fascia and digital contractures. Despite these findings, the patient was asymptomatic for Dupuytren’s contracture, and thus, no treatment was administered for this condition.
