Late onset nevus comedonicus of scalp: a rare site for an uncommon condition

Nevus comedonicus is a rare hamartoma affecting the pilosebaceous unit, typically presenting as keratin-filled pits resembling open comedones. While it usually appears at birth or during childhood and adolescence, it predominantly affects the face, neck, trunk, and arms, with rare occurrences on the palms, genitalia, and scalp. This document reported a unique case of a 19-year-old woman with nevus comedonicus on the scalp, which emerged during her adolescence, highlighting its rarity and unusual location.
