Kalya Research (KR) is an artificial intelligence-based medical assistant tool designed to help medical researchers by selecting and characterizing literature on complementary and alternative medicines (CAM). It uses rule models and ontologies to suggest relevant and recent CAM publications and provides analytical visualizations of key indicators. KR was tested against Medline for its efficacy in finding CAM literature related to alopecia in breast cancer patients and was found to be a relevant and time-saving resource.
