TLDR Students from the Middle East and Moscow have different hair element levels due to their environments.
The study of 180 first-year students from RUDN University revealed distinct ionic hair profiles between those from the Middle East and the Moscow region, highlighting the impact of geographical and climatic conditions on elemental composition. Using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, researchers found that students from the Moscow region had higher levels of calcium, magnesium, manganese, cobalt, iron, mercury, and tin, whereas students from the Middle East exhibited higher levels of sodium, molybdenum, silicon, thallium, cesium, antimony, tungsten, beryllium, arsenic, rubidium, and nickel. These differences underscore the influence of natural environments on hair elemental profiles.
