TLDR Removing follicular plugging is crucial for effective alopecia treatment.
This integrative clinical case study of a 30-year-old female with multifactorial female androgenetic alopecia and chronic telogen effluvium emphasizes the significance of addressing follicular plugging to enhance the absorption of topical treatments and reduce inflammation. The therapeutic protocol involved a desobstructive pre-shampoo, topical caffeine for DHT blockade, physical stimuli, and lifestyle changes. The study concludes that removing follicular plugging is essential for treatment efficacy and that a personalized approach, involving patient and professional collaboration, provides a safe and effective alternative to oral medications. It highlights the importance of educational guidance and continuous follow-up for treatment adherence.
