TLDR Combining stress management and Minoxidil helps treat stress-related hair loss and improve well-being.
This case report demonstrates the effective management of stress-induced alopecia areata in a 28-year-old woman using a combination of 5% Minoxidil and psychological stress management techniques. The patient showed significant hair regrowth and emotional improvement, although a relapse occurred during another period of acute stress, highlighting the connection between stress and disease progression. The report emphasizes the necessity of integrating stress reduction strategies with pharmacological treatments to effectively manage alopecia areata and prevent relapses, particularly in patients whose condition is influenced by psychological stress. This holistic approach not only supports hair regrowth but also enhances overall well-being, suggesting that future research should explore the role of stress management in optimizing treatment outcomes for alopecia areata.
