TLDR Yoga Nidra improves well-being and reduces anxiety in women with PCOS.
The study on the impact of Yoga Nidra on psychological variables in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) involved 30 middle-aged women divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group practiced Yoga Nidra for 12 weeks and showed significant improvements in well-being, general health, and vitality, along with reduced anxiety and depression. Additionally, they had significantly lower cortisol levels, indicating that Yoga Nidra may help modulate sympathetic and hypothalamic activity, leading to reduced anxiety and enhanced relaxation. These findings suggest that Yoga Nidra could be a beneficial complementary approach for managing PCOS.
