The study also referenced four other published cases, two of which were sporadic with normal height, while the other two were siblings with short stature whose parents were carriers of Weill-Marchesani syndrome. The researchers were unable to determine if hypertrichosis cubiti was linked to a specific type of skeletal dysplasia or to clarify its genetic transmission.
