The study developed a halal hair growth-promoting shampoo using Centella asiatica and Phyllanthus emblica, focusing on their antioxidant properties. Among seven formulations, F3, with 4% C. asiatica and 2% P. emblica, showed the highest antioxidant activity by inhibiting 92.5% of DPPH radicals. The shampoo met ideal standards for physicochemical properties such as pH, foaming capacity, and stability, and was confirmed halal, making it suitable for Muslim consumers. The study concludes that the shampoo is effective in promoting hair growth and is halal-compliant, although it did not include a consumer satisfaction survey.
