TLDR Hair loss patterns are linked to temperament and can help diagnose it.
The study aimed to assess the correlation between Mizaj (temperament) and hair loss patterns using the Cohen hair loss classification system. Data from Ayurvedic and Unani tibbia Skin O.P.D. patients were analyzed using a mizaj assessment questionnaire and statistical tests. Results showed that the median Cohen Index score was highest in the damvi group (79.00), followed by safravi (78.00), balghami (70.00), and lowest in saudavi (48.00). The findings support the hypothesis that a correlation exists between hair loss patterns and Mizaj, suggesting that hair loss patterns could be used as a diagnostic index for temperament.
