TLDR Low zinc levels in hair are linked to hair loss and diaper rash in infants.
The study measured hair zinc concentration in 308 newborns and 199 infants aged 1 to 12 months, finding that zinc levels decreased from 204 micrograms/gm at birth to 112 micrograms/gm at 8 months, then increased to 144 micrograms/gm by 12 months. It was observed that diaper rash was significantly associated with reduced hair zinc levels, and infants with less hair had lower zinc levels compared to those with more hair. The findings suggested that hair loss and diaper rash in normal infants were significantly linked to lower hair zinc concentrations.

community Why don’t more people use hair fibers?

in Product  527 upvotes 4 months ago
Hair fibers can effectively cover thinning hair when used with minoxidil and hairspray but require daily application and can be inconvenient in certain conditions. Some users prefer treatments like finasteride, dutasteride, microneedling, or wigs due to the maintenance and limitations of hair fibers.

Oral copper supplementation significantly improved hair regrowth for someone who experienced severe hair loss after stopping minoxidil, suggesting copper deficiency might hinder minoxidil's effectiveness. The user now only takes copper and occasionally uses microneedling, recommending others to try copper if minoxidil alone isn't effective.
