Diffuse Hair Loss Associated With Selenium Sulfide Shampoo

    Ralph W. Grover
TLDR Selenium sulfide shampoo can cause hair loss, which stops when you stop using it.
The document reports on six cases where the use of a selenium sulfide shampoo for treating seborrheic dermatitis resulted in varying degrees of hair loss. Notably, the hair shedding ceased once the shampoo was no longer used, and in one instance, the hair loss recurred multiple times with repeated use of the shampoo.
