    Sei‐Chul Yoon, Won-Ji Jung
TLDR Hair loss is linked to higher depression, especially in certain groups.
This study examined the impact of hair loss on depressive symptoms in the MZ generation (ages 20-45). It found that hair loss conditions were more severe among women, individuals aged 25 and older, married people, housewives, professionals, sales/service workers, smokers, and those consuming alcohol frequently. Depression symptoms were more common in individuals aged 40-45, married people, those with lower incomes, and smokers. A significant positive correlation was found between hair loss and depression subfactors, offering foundational data for the hair loss market and related research.
