TLDR The 0.3% cocoa bean extract tonic is best for hair growth in mice.
The study investigated the effectiveness of a hair growth tonic containing cocoa bean extract on mice, focusing on its physical stability and hair growth activity. Cocoa beans were extracted and formulated into three concentrations: 0.2%, 0.3%, and 0.5%. The 0.3% concentration demonstrated the best physical stability, including organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, and specific gravity. Hair growth tests showed that both the 0.3% and 0.5% formulations were as effective as the positive control by the second week. The 0.3% formula was identified as optimal for promoting hair growth in mice when applied twice daily for two weeks.
