A 12-year-old female pug mix dog with generalized demodicosis and secondary Malassezia infection presented with severe skin issues, including alopecia, hyperpigmentation, erythema, and a foul odor. Diagnostic tests confirmed the presence of Demodex mites and Malassezia. The dog was treated with antiparasitic drugs (imidacloprid and moxidectin), antibiotics (enrofloxacin, amoxicillin, and clavulanic acid), antifungal medication (ketoconazole), antihistamines, and multivitamins. After seven days of treatment, the dog's condition improved, with a noticeable reduction in itching.
