TLDR Psoriasis patients experience moderate functional impairment related to disease severity and less satisfaction.
The study from 2017 involved 200 psoriasis patients who completed a 15-item questionnaire to assess functional impairment (FI) in interpersonal, psychological, and personal domains. The mean scores indicated moderate levels of FI, with interpersonal at 13.29, psychological at 12.14, and personal at 9.30. These scores were moderately correlated with disease severity and weakly negatively correlated with patient satisfaction. The findings suggest that FI in psoriasis patients is related to the severity of the disease and that higher FI is associated with lower patient satisfaction. The questionnaire used in the study was undergoing validation at the time.
