This study focused on developing an anti-dandruff shampoo using herbal ingredients like Neem and Tulsi, which are proposed to offer antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits without the side effects typically associated with chemical-based shampoos.

In this study, researchers formulated an onion and eucalyptus oil herbal shampoo for dry hair, finding that the F2 batch provided better results in terms of cleansing, dandruff reduction, and microbial activity compared to other batches, with added benefits of nourishing hair and promoting growth.

This study reported that a newly formulated clear liquid shampoo with lavender oil may be effective and acceptable for dandruff control and overall hair and scalp hygiene, based on tests with twenty volunteers.

Most women preferred the 1% pyrithione zinc shampoo for better hair smoothness and less frizz while controlling dandruff.
