TLDR The Aloe Vera shampoo worked better for hair care than a regular shampoo.
The study "Formulation and Evaluation of Aloe Vera Gel Shampoo" aimed to create a herbal shampoo using plant extracts, specifically Aloe Vera, to treat hair loss, prevent scalp itching, and dandruff. The shampoo formulation included essential oils such as coconut oil, lavender oil, rosemary oil, and eucalyptus oil, along with other ingredients like antioxidants stabilizers, solubilizing agents, surfactants, cleansing agents, coloring agents, and preservatives. These ingredients were chosen to enhance hair smoothness, shine, and growth. The formulated shampoo was evaluated through various tests including foaming ability, pH determination, skin irritancy, conditioning performance, and wettability. The results showed that the Aloe Vera shampoo performed better in all tests compared to the marketed shampoo.
