TLDR The herbal shampoo with lavender oil was effective and well-liked by users.
The study focused on formulating a clear liquid herbal shampoo containing 0.5% lavender oil, known for its potential benefits in treating alopecia, dandruff, and promoting hair regrowth, along with antimicrobial properties. The formulation process involved selecting suitable concentrations of anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric surfactants to create an effective cleansing base, to which additives and lavender essence were added. The final product contained various ingredients including triethanolaminelauryl sulfate, sodium laurylether sulfate, coconut diethanolamide, and others, resulting in a shampoo with a clear appearance, pleasant odor, good spreadability, and a pH of 7.05±0.07. It produced a rich foam and was stable under various tests. The shampoo's efficacy, particularly against dandruff, and its acceptability were confirmed by twenty volunteers, indicating it to be an effective and pleasant herbal hygiene product.
