TLDR A wireless, battery-free system uses Wi-Fi signals to enhance wound healing and enable smart healthcare at home.
The study introduces a wireless, battery-free bioelectronic system powered by far-field RF energy harvesting, utilizing ambient Wi-Fi signals for enhanced wound healing and connected healthcare. This system features biocompatible, stretchable molybdenum-based electrodes for electrical stimulation and real-time impedance monitoring, promoting keratinocyte migration, collagen deposition, angiogenesis, and hair follicle regeneration. It operates over distances exceeding 8 meters and is controlled via smartphone, enabling adaptive wound care and at-home treatment. The system's closed-loop capability allows for real-time wound status monitoring and personalized therapeutic delivery, offering a scalable framework for regenerative therapy and intelligent healthcare applications.
