TLDR Facial plastic surgeries and aesthetic procedures are becoming more popular in India, with a preference for non-surgical options and effective treatments for facial enhancement and hair loss.
The document reviews 20 studies on facial plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures in India. It found an upward trend in these procedures, with a shift towards non-surgical methods. Botulinum toxin (Botox) was effective in managing masseter muscle hypertrophy and improving facial scars. Kybella was effective for reducing submental fat. Non-surgical rhinoplasty using hyaluronic acid dermal fillers had a high satisfaction rate (>90%). A study of 800 adults found the psychosocial impact of alopecia was greater in women than men. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) was beneficial in treating alopecia when used for 3 months with 3 sessions each month. QR678, a hair restoration treatment, showed better results when combined with Minoxidil and Finasteride, and was also effective in treating chemotherapy-induced alopecia. The document also highlighted challenges in acquiring necessary expertise for hair transplantation in India.
