TLDR Scube3 gene affects mouse embryo growth in multiple areas, but needs more research.
The Scube3 gene is expressed in various regions during early embryonic development in mice, including the neural tube, branchial arches, developing hair follicles, and developing kidney. It may play a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation, particularly in highly vascularized tissues. Its exact function is not yet fully understood and requires further research. The study was funded by the Wellcome Trust, European Orthodontic Society, and European Union.
