Examination of Self-Esteem, Self-Confidence, and Social Support Levels in Patients Undergoing Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery

    This study examined self-esteem, self-confidence, and social support levels in 152 patients undergoing plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. Using various scales, the study found that the mean self-confidence score was 132.13, the mean self-esteem score was 22.77, and the mean social support score was 71.09. Notably, individuals satisfied with their appearance had significantly higher self-confidence scores. The study highlights the positive correlation between satisfaction with appearance and self-confidence in patients undergoing these types of surgeries.
